Sunday Benefit Tastings with The Tea Mistress

Sundays at 2PM
Every Sunday from 2PM-4PM there will be a tea tasting, chocolate tasting, and/or coffee cupping session at the Tea Mistress’ location in Houston with light refreshments served. Come by and taste and evaluate 3 teas, coffees, chocolates or hot chocolates and support a local non-profit!

Your suggested donation will go to Lone Star Houston Tea Festival, Inc., a non-profit organization that organizes the Houston Tea Festival and Lone Star Iced Tea Festival.

Upcoming Tasting Themes

  • May 28: No Tasting
  • June 4: Matcha! - Join The Tea Mistress for a special tasting of three types of matcha, a unique powdered green tea from Japan. Sip tea and nibble on refreshments while you browse and shop! We will have tables and chairs for you to sit and chat. Feel free to bring friends and family. Seating is limited to 12 people. Because of the cost of this type of tea, this week's suggested donation is $10. It's highly recommended to reserve your spot on the Facebook event page or by donating through the link below.

Tea culture is steeped in mystery! Join Certified Tea Master Amanda Vermillion as we examine the history of tea and debunk tea myths and legends like true "TEA-tectives". In keeping with our RG mystery theme, attendees will also experience a "blind tea tasting": you will sample three different types of tea and attempt to deduce what type of tea it is using your wits and clues provided by your senses!
